The Northside Neighborhood House provides a wide array of volunteer opportunities from working in our Community Schools or Thrift Stores to assisting with special events. From ensuring individuals are housed with working utilities to supporting students in achieving academic success, the NNH focuses on creating relationships and connecting individuals to support that aid them in creating stability for themselves and their families.
We don't just see volunteers as a valuable resource, but as heroes! Using your time and talents to support TBCH is a great way to get involved.
Our volunteers bless our residential and foster homes in many ways. Examples include bringing meals, sponsoring special occasions, or providing parents' nights out. Groups of volunteers often participate by doing landscaping projects or helping at events. The possibilities for service are nearly endless and always rewarding!
Over forty years ago, we started as the Chattanooga Community Kitchen, and fed the hungry each year by the hundreds of thousands. Over that time, we also added other services for the homeless, like shelter and clothing, and counseling. Today, we are no longer just a Kitchen. We are a Foundation for hope. We are the CHATT Foundation.
Y-CAP is an early intervention and prevention program that provides after school tutoring, mentorship, and more for kids ages 10-15 who have been recommended for the program by their school or the juvenile court system
One single mom walking hand in hand with her child and a network beside her can change the game for generations to come. We love empowering others to use their resources, talent, and experiences to volunteer, to bless moms who are working hard to make a difference for their families and community.
We engage, invest in, and empower East Chattanooga residents by reducing poverty and fostering lasting economic stability through Christ-centered service including food for the hungry, a dental & vison clinic, and urban garden to teach neighbors how to grow vegetables.
Her Song exists to interrupt the cycle of human trafficking by empowering survivors with holistic support to champion their journey toward freedom. Her Song is a group of Christian people who are called, equipped, and sent according to the Gospel. We are committed to providing survivors with an excellent culture of care through Victim Outreach, Care Coordination, and Residential Survivor Care that ultimately guides them to achieve sustainable freedom.

For 75 years, the Union Gospel Mission has been ministering to the homeless and needy in Chattanooga. We have provided over 2.4 million safe nights' sleep, clothing and other needs by the tons, spiritual mentoring to thousands of individuals, and the opportunity for our clients to see their lives changed! We specialize in residential programs for men in crisis and outreach to the community.
Volunteers are the foundation and heart of Chattanooga Room in the Inn. Many vital functions are provided by volunteers including meal provider, activities for children, off-site events, special projects, and life skills instruction.

Volunteer to help the Child Evangelism Fellowship of Tennessee, Inc. Greater Chattanooga Chapter, present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to over 11,281 children annually in schools, homes, community centers, YMCA’s, churches, and many other venues. There were 352 professions of faith and 168 children are now attending a local church for the first time.

Isaiah 117 provides a comforting home where children can have a place that is safe with friendly and loving volunteers who provide clean clothes, smiles, toys, and snuggly blankets. This space allows children to receive the comfort and care they need while child welfare staff can do the necessary paperwork and identify a good placement.

Our Prayer for Charities
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the charities and nonprofits that serve our community each day. We are grateful for the compassion, dedication, and sacrifice of those who answer Your call to care for others.
We lift up the leaders, staff, and volunteers who guide these organizations. Grant them wisdom to make sound decisions, strength to persevere through challenges, and humility to lead with integrity and grace. Encourage them when the work is difficult.
Provide every charity with the resources and volunteers they need to fulfill their mission.
